Nice transport links

Nice looks set to enjoy a mini property price boom thanks to it’s new tramline. Taking 6 years and over 370 million Euros to build, it is anticipated that the trams will help reduce the traffic congestion which clogs the city streets and sea-front.

The trams will also allow easy access to the town centre for a greater range of properties – fantastic news for those who live on the outskirts of the city and close to the new tram stops. Parking in the centre of Nice has always been problematic with the huge weight of traffic – traffic that should be alleviated by the new transport link. At rush hours, the trams will stop around every four minutes making it a quick and convenient way to travel.

Nice has always been one of the cheaper places in the French Riviera to buy. With the addition of the tram line, more homes will be brought into a desirable catchment area, prices may be pushed up in the town. With Nice Airport a few miles away from the city centre, the area is already popular with property investors and the extra investment in travel links in the area will come as good news to those who have already bought properties.
